Welcome to the home of my work and creative life. I am an artist and designer living in Northern California. With roots in fine art, portraiture, and documentary photography, I work with wonderful clients in Napa County, SF Bay Area, and the Central Coast of California. I specialize in lifestyle portraiture featuring couples, families and their furry family members. I aim to create warm, relaxed imagery in natural settings. While portraiture is the main focus of my work, I am constantly influenced by new mediums in illustration, surface design, and handicrafts.
This space has become a photo journal of the collective inspiration that life offers, featuring the sweet moments where beauty reveals itself. I live with the notion that creating things that are beautiful and utilitarian is divine! I hope that you come visit often and share your own sweet moments and lovely projects in the comments section.
In love and creativity, Caitlin.

I haven’t had the heart to clip the cilantro because the bees love the flowers that are blooming (in December!)

Overgrown Cilantro in Dad's Herb Garden
I really can’t blame them. These little flowers are precious to me too now. ;-)

Italian parsley from Dad’s herb garden…
I’ve been enjoying time off with the family for the past couple weeks. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Love.

So, somehow, I managed to pack my car full of stuff for the most recent trip to Santa Cruz without packing my friend, the camera. I feel naked… in a good way. Thank you stormy weather for being the perfect excuse.
Last weekend was spent at the Land of the Medicine Buddha for a women’s retreat. Just finishing up the 9th module (second to last) of biodynamic craniosacral therapy training! A serenade of rain and Anna Ternheim tunes keep me present with the final projects and write-ups.
I’m enjoying this cheese from New Leaf Market. Purple Haze goat cheese. yuuuumm. I’ve missed it.
Keeping close to my dear friends for the last couple days here. Just received amazing Chi Nei Tsang and massage from this lady.
Looking forward to seeing the sunshine again this weekend. In the meantime, miso soup and lots of tea are staple foods. ;-)

I took this last month using a giant old mirror. I wanted to preserve it here in this space.

You can’t learn from guessing.
You can learn only from moving forward at the rate you are moved,
as brightness, into brightness.”

August became a month of major transition as I made the move to Middletown, California and began work at Spirit Springs Retreat. A running creek by my bedroom, stars seen through the skylight at night, and lots of trees and fresh air. It’s all magical and evenings are my favorite time as the silence sets in and the cicadas and frogs start their singing.
I’m most enjoying the kitchen and herb garden- both bountiful playgrounds that will never bore me! There are so many recipes that I want to share. Slowly but surely…
And now, for a few of my favorite local hang-outs. ;-)

The view from the swinging chair…

And the seat that guarantees a nap…

You must come visit!
